Anza Borrego Wildflowers

We found beautiful displays of wildflowers along Henderson Canyon Road near Borrego Springs in Anza Borrego Desert State Park yesterday. After some attempts at close-ups I mostly used the wide angle lens, and had a lot of fun with it.

As is it often the case with the winter storms, they got blocked by the mountains to the west of the desert for the most part – it was windy, but only occasionally a bit of a drizzle would reach the desert floor. It was a beautiful day out there!

Sprinkled & Sparkling

I wish I could say this was morning dew but we rarely get that here in large amounts in San Diego. These big waterdrops are leftovers from nightly irrigation, lit by the morning sun.
